What is the difference between 1400mm and 950mn❓️❓️❓️Why is the 1400nm solar film tester more expensive than the 950nm one?
Linshang Technology's solar film testers can be divided into two types: 940nm and 1400nm according to the
built-in infrared light source band. Why is the 1400nm solar film tester more expensive than the 950nm one?
Linshang Technology's classic three-band solar film tester can be divided into two types according to the
built-in infrared light source band: 940nm and 1400nm. The other two built-in light sources are mainly 365ultraviolet LED and 380-760nm full band. White LED. Therefore, the price difference between instruments
with the same visible light and ultraviolet light sources mainly lies in the infrared. Why is the 1400nmsolar film tester more expensive than the 950nm one?
In fact it's all a matter of raw material cost. First of all, the 1400nm infrared LED light source itself is scarcer
than the 940nm light source, so the cost of the light source is much higher. In addition, the cost of the
receiver for the 1400nm infrared light source is also higher. Therefore, the 1400nm solar film tester is more
expensive than the 950nm instrument.
The solar films suitable for these two infrared light source solar film testers are also different. Thetransmittance (blocking rate) of different solar films to light sources of different wavelengths is not exactly
the same. Common heat-absorbing films mainly have a higher blocking rate for infrared rays of 940nm,
while some films with better reflective properties (such as metal films, ceramic films, etc.) have a higher
blocking rate for infrared rays of 1400nm.
Therefore, when choosing a solar film tester, if you mainly want to highlight the better thermal insulation
performance of the solar film, you can refer to the above suggestions to choose the appropriate instrument.
It is recommended to use instruments in the 1400nm band to measure metal films and ceramic films, and
it is recommended to use instruments in the 940nm band to measure endothermic films.
How to Selecte window tint meter according to testing wavelength?
Window tint tester | LS160 LS162 LS163 | LS101 LS110A | LS160A LS162A LS163A | LS180 LS110H | LS182 |

1.940nm window tint meter is recommended to measure absorbing window film (glass)
2.1400nm window tint meter is recommended to measure metallic or ceramic window film
3. LS182 window tint meter can be used to test absorbing film, metallic film and ceramic window film
4. If you need to measure both the rejection rate and transmittance, LS163 or LS163A would be a good choice.
